Digital injuries can result in significant functional loss due to residual motion limitations. This course will address interventions throughout healing stages with an emphasis on orthoses and activity selection to restore motion and functional use.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Examine appropriate orthoses to facilitate digital motion improvement through each stage of healing
- Describe relevant activity selection to address stiffness in each phase of healing
- Discuss orthosis fabrication tips to address specific patterns of motion loss
