ASHT offers a number of research programs and resources specially designed to meet the needs of hand therapists.
Research Community
In response to requests from our membership, ASHT offers hand and upper extremity researchers (all experience levels) monthly meet-up opportunities via zoom or in person conferences. These sessions will allow members to make or ask for research suggestions, inform attendees about your research interests or needs, offer or request mentorship, find research collaborators, or hear what is happening in current hand and upper extremity therapy research. Two experienced hand therapy researchers will host each session.
Research E-Community
Post and follow research related content from our membership on the Research Community in the ASHT Connect App.
Journal Club
A monthly journal club on a Journal of Hand Therapy study is offered free to our members via a one hour Zoom session to assist with understanding and clinical application of current hand therapy research.
Student-Led Journal Club
The student-led journal club is designed to involve and educate students on appraising the current literature in Journal of Hand Therapy as it relates to the hand and upper extremity. This journal club is led by students under the supervision of a faculty member or an ASHT member and is a one hour Zoom session.
