The Research Division of ASHT offers a free journal club for students. Student membership is not required to participate in journal club.

What is it?

The Student-Led Journal Club is designed to involve and educate students on appraising the current literature as it relates to the hand and upper extremity.

  • The format is a one-hour interactive Zoom-based presentation on an article of the students choosing.
  • The presentation is run by students under the supervision of a faculty member or ASHT member.
  • Student Journal club dates are available on the fourth Wednesday and Thursday of the months during both spring and fall semesters.  Additional dates may be available upon request.  All presentations are held at 8-9 p.m. ET.
  • Once scheduled, session will be posted on the website for registration.
  • Please note: when choosing a date, please allow 2-3 weeks, prior, for ASHT to set up and promote.

Students interested in attending will need to register via the registration portal. There is no cost to participate and student membership to ASHT is not required.  Once registered, you will receive an email including access to the journal article and the Zoom link to participate.

For faculty and clinical supervisors
This is an excellent opportunity for any ASHT member with academic or clinical students. Dates and times are flexible.
