Webinar Description:
This webinar will cover advocacy and include a guide to each state's laws, rules and guidance on occupational and physical therapists’ use of dry needling. AOTA's Dry Needling Task Force and AOTA's Representative Assembly Motions 10 and 11 will be reviewed, as well as guidance issued by APTA. A career legislative attorney and an occupational therapist who is the former chair of a state licensure board and a grassroots organizer will review the regulatory process and avenues for therapists to perform dry needling in their states.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  1. Identify the differences between laws/statutes, rules, board position statements, attorney general opinions and guidance from other state agencies.
  2. Identify knowledge of their states current dry needling regulations.
  3. Identify where to access important resources to assist in pursuit of dry needling regulation in their states.
