Webinar Description:
This webinar will explore ways to manage and prevent secondary complications following flexor tendon tendon repair in the hand. This webinar will also explore evidence-based strategies to maximize rehabilitation and outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Identify complications following flexor tendon repair in the hand
- Review strategies to prevent and manage complications
- Discuss Dorsal Blocking Orthosis positioning and creative ways to use it throughout the rehabilitation process
- Review exercise types, frequency and amount
- Review patient education

Scott is an experienced hand therapist who currently practices at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, IN. Scott’s areas of expertise include post-operative acute trauma, staged reconstruction, splinting and upper extremity rehabilitation. He is a mentor and clinical instructor for occupational therapists and students interested in pursuing the specialization of hand therapy. He continues to teach and has been an invited speaker on upper extremity rehabilitation at numerous local and national meetings. He is a member of AAHS and ASHT.
