Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to describe the mechanism by which nerve transfers work to restore motor function.
  2. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to describe the goals of each of the five phases of rehabilitation for nerve transfer surgery.
  3. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to identify the treatment pathway for patients following nerve transfer surgery.
  4. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to formulate a treatment plan for a child following nerve transfer surgery based on clinical findings.

The Pediatric Case Reviews is a series of monthly live online case presentations of pediatric upper extremity diagnoses. Each month a case will be presented to include a brief description of the diagnosis, objective findings, and therapeutic interventions. The presenter will also discuss their clinical decision-making process and how they navigated any challenges.
