Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to list three typical movement deficits in the upper extremity of a child with AMC: amyoplasia subtype.
  2. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to describe two joints that should be the focus of a passive stretching program for babies with amyoplasia.
  3. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to formulate three treatment strategies to gain passive motion in the above listed joints.
  4. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to identify three compensations or adaptations which can be implemented to enhance functional use of the upper extremities of an older child with AMC.
  5. By the end of this presentation, the attendee will be able to explain three ways to gain parent participation in daily home program
