This webinar will address the unique aspects of providing hand therapy services to the pediatric population. This will include the treatment setting, evaluation process, and components of treatment specific to the pediatric population. Specific areas to be addressed regarding treatment include activities and exercises, grasp development, and handwriting. 

Learning Objectives: 
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to: 

  1. Identify three differences in treatment settings and protocols for the pediatric hand patient compared to the adult patient. 
  2. Identify two standardized evaluations to quantify/qualify movement of the pediatric population. 
  3. Identify modifications to pencil grip and two alternative methods of pencil grip for handwriting.
