Webinar Description:
This webinar will provide information to affect the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation along with daily business operations in a private practice setting. A panel will be available to answer practice management questions. This is Part 2 of the presentation series. Issues that will be covered during the Part 2 webinar include:

- In network/OON benefits
- How to negotiate contract rates-general information
- Methods to verify patient's insurance
- Authorization procedures (payer-specific, but can give generalities and resources on how to find information)

- Documentation requirements
• Productivity
- Survey results to include practice trends, productivity issues/standards, challenges
• OT/PT coverage of the same patient/ co-treatments
• Panel for Q & A, including discussion of issues pertinent to the delivery of hand and upper extremity interventions
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Identify specific business tools needed to assist in the development of procedures to address commercial insurance verification, prior authorization strategies, rate/contract negotiations, and navigating worker’s compensation that are compliance-driven for the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Identify the procedures and operations for proper billing strategies in addition to appeal and documentation standards to assist in the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Identify how to develop productivity standards that are appropriate for the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Describe the proper procedures to complete OT/PT coverage of the same patient/ co-treatments in delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
