Nancy is Professor and Chair Emeritus at the University of California, San Francisco and Clinical Professor at San Francisco State University. She currently Chairs the Quality Practice Committee, serves on the Education Committee and is President of the PT Fund with the California Chapter of the APTA. She is also on the Board of Directors for the PT Foundation for Research, is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Hand Therapy

Nancy has been an active researcher on the topics of focal hand dystonia, stroke and parkinson's disease.

She currently lives in Reno, Nevada and sees patients in an orthopedic private practice.
