At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the clinical presentation of the upper limb in children with cerebral palsy
  2. Identify the importance of the relative contributions of spasticity, muscle contractures, and joint contractures in the evaluation of the upper limb in children with cerebral palsy
  3. Identify effective approaches to collaborative goal-setting related to upper limb surgery and therapy
  4. Identify a variety of orthotic designs and options (high temperature thermoplastics, low temperature thermoplastics, neoprene) used in postoperative management
  5. Describe orthotic strategies to optimize motor learning outcomes
