Webinar Description:
In today’s busy clinic environment, it is often challenging for clinicians to find the time to thoroughly critique, analyze and synthesize a research article and to determine how the article impacts practice. With the large volume of literature available today, it may seem like a daunting task to keep up with the current evidence. The purpose of this webinar is to provide the busy clinician with a 15-minute approach to understanding whether or not a quantitative or qualitative study is worth further investigation. Participants will learn a 15-minute approach to appraise both quantitative and qualitative studies.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  • Understand key components in the literature review, methods, results and discussion sections of both a quantitative and qualitative study
  • Utilize the PICO method to narrow searching strategies
  • Recognize key terms that provide insight into the strength of a study
