Sam Biafora, MD

Dr. Biafora received his M.D. degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. He did his residency at the University of Illinois at the Chicago College of Medicine in the department of Orthopedic Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity/Microvasular Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University/The Philadelphia Hand Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Biafora is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Chicago Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Biafora has published several articles including topics related to sensory communication of nerves in the hand, elbow dislocation, and management of tendonopathies in the hand and wrist. His practice is limited to surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.

Dr. Biafor is a lifelong resident of Illinois. He resides locally with his family.
