& Amy Brossard, MSOT, OTR/L, CHT

Webinar Description: This webinar takes an in-depth look at the mechanics behind grip strength, the psychosocial implications grip has on overall health, and the impact injury has on function. A case example will be presented to bring together reviewed concepts of grip training for enhanced patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  1. Identify key anatomical intrinsic andextrinsic motor units required for grip force production.
  2. Illustrate the involvement of wrist mechanoreceptors/proprioception in the role of dynamicstabilization during grip activities.
