Presented by: Daniel Harte, OT, BAHT, Masters in Clinical Research, BSc(Hons)

Webinar Description:
This webinar will describe the speaker’s journey into the world of research, development, and innovation. Its purpose is to help dispel common myths about research and to inspire clinicians in hand therapy to recognize that they, too, can participate in research.

Daniel shares his story from the beginning, reflecting on his time as an average student who once believed that research was reserved for an elite minority. Through Daniel's experiences, he illustrates how engaging in research not only built his confidence but also ignited a lasting spark of inspiration to pursue further opportunities in the field.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  1. Recognize that projects benefit from a multidisciplinary approach including junior therapists and students.
  2. Identify potential areas of innovation and research within their own practice.
  3. Use the examples provided to sketch out some of their own ideas for further development
  4. Confidently critique their own ideas to help inform design.
