Independent Finance Committee Member

ASHT is seeking external financial and/or investment professionals to volunteer on our Independent Finance Committee. If you know someone with experience managing the financial operations of an organization and a desire to contribute expertise to the advancement of the hand and upper extremity therapy specialty, please encourage them to apply.

Independent Finance Committee members are responsible for:
 
  • Reviewing ASHT's annual budget, monthly finance statements and contracts
  • Monitoring the financial impact of ASHT programs
  • Conducting quarterly review of the society's investment portfolio
  • Participating in an annual budget review call and quarterly conference calls (as needed)
  • Ensuring the society's financial activities align with its mission and priorities

Candidates should have a background in financial oversight, organizational leadership and/or healthcare management with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Budget development and management
  • Income statement analysis
  • Investment oversight
  • Strategic or project management in a healthcare or nonprofit setting

Note: The current vacancy available on the Independent Finance Committee is a non-ASHT member role.

Committee members will serve staggered two- or three-year terms. Committee members have the option to renew one additional term for the equal amount of years they currently serve.
