Mark Butler, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT

Mark is a board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist and McKenzie certified specialist for mechanical diagnosis and treatment. He has been in practice for over 25 years, starting his own practice eighteen months after graduating from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which he sold to focus on patient care and teaching. He is an adjunct Assistant Professor at Rutgers University and guest lecturer at Stockton and DeSales Universities.

Mark has taught over 200 weekend courses on Neural Mobilization, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Examination & Treatment of the Shoulder, Cervical Spine, Lumbar Spine, Therapeutic Taping, and Radiology.  He has presented at more than 25 national and regional conferences on Neural Mobilization, Brachial Plexopathies, the Shoulder, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.

It was through one of his earliest teaching experiences as a ski instructor in Utah that he met his beautiful wife Terri of 30 + years. Just prior to this, he spent two years in Korea doing missionary work and is fluent in reading and speaking Korean.

Mark authored the shoulder chapter in the textbook Fundamentals of Hand Therapy: Clinical Reasoning and Treatment Guidelines for Common Diagnoses of the Hand and Upper Extremity. He has published in peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed professional journals and is currently active in clinical research. Mark completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University in Denver, where he graduated with honors. He is fortunate to be honored as one of the therapists selected on an annual basis to receive the prestigious James Tucker Excellence in Clinical Practice and Teaching Award by the New Jersey chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently he manages the Medford, NJ NovaCare office where he carries a full caseload.
