The American Society of Hand Therapists invites you to share the results of your research and contribute to the excellence of the 48th Annual Meeting being held in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 23-October 25, 2025.
The 2025 theme – “Blaze a New Trail: Embracing Our Future, Committing to Sustainability” – carries forward our history of sharing wisdom, experience and expertise while highlighting the steps forward to sustain us as a profession and organization, ensuring long-term efficacy and resilience of our practices and the overall healthcare landscape.
All abstract submissions for the ASHT 2025 Annual Meeting are scored with blinded peer review. Abstracts can be submitted on any aspect of hand and upper extremity-related research. It is integral that abstract submissions follow the correct formatting guidelines and criteria for the corresponding submission for Scientific Abstracts, Critically Appraised Paper (CAP), or Critically Appraised Topic (CAT). ASHT will be accepting Critically Appraised Papers (CAPs) and Critically Appraised Topics (CATs) as a separate category of submission. All scientific abstracts to be delivered as an oral presentation at the annual meeting will require a registered presenter in attendance at the annual meeting. At least one author for each accepted poster is expected to be registered for the Annual Meeting, either in-person or virtually. An author may submit multiple abstract proposals but will be selected for a maximum of 2 submissions per category for the meeting: scientific abstract (oral and poster), CAT, and CAP. Please see the submission guidelines below. Scientific abstracts will be selected either for oral presentation or e-poster presentation. All CAT and CAPs will be e-poster presentations. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Hand Therapy, the official journal of ASHT.
