Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Describe the proposed 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and the effect on the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Recognize the conversion factor adjustment and how a change impacts OT/PT reimbursement with Medicare patients
- Identify the Medicare rules and regulations in the delivery of telehealth for hand and upper extremity rehabilitation including documentation requirements and reimbursement issues. In addition, the participant will recognize the code request process
- Describe how the KX and other policy issues will have an effect on the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation in 2026 for Medicare recipients
- Describe how incident-to-physician practice supervision has changed for 2026 and impact on the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Identify the changes to remote therapeutic monitoring and how the differences in 2026 can impact the delivery of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Explain the updates to the MIPS/MVPs for 2026
