The Outreach Division develops, implements and coordinates ASHT non-CEU educational offerings for hand and upper extremity rehabilitation professionals. This includes:
- Initiatives identified in ASHT’s strategic plan
- Developing new product offerings to engage members and non-members
- Establishing student-member outreach opportunities to facilitate growth and knowledge of hand and upper extremity therapy
- Providing mentorship and growth opportunities for members who are desiring to pursue hand therapy certification
- Providing non-CEU educational opportunities to members and non-members
Projects that fall under the Outreach Division are student offerings, patient education, mentoring, ASHT Times, e-Community, social media/promotions, podcast and working on projects with the Technology & Communication Committee.
Hours of commitment each week can vary depending on how many projects a member participates in, but is typically at least 1-3 hours a week, as well as a monthly call. Participation in our face-to-face meeting at the Annual Meeting is requested but not required.
ASHT is seeking Active, Associate, Affiliate or Student members to serve two-year terms on the division.
