Photo from Camp Verde Bugle From Camp Verde Bugle Northern Arizona Healthcare serves as a teaching institution for masters and doctoral students from various universities. Hands-on learning is integral for occupational, physical and speech therapists, as well as for nursing and physician interns. Currently, there are four interns at NAH, two in Cottonwood and two in Sedona, earning their doctorates in occupational therapy. Recently, Mark Ritter, an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with Northern Arizona Healthcare's Entire Care Rehab & Sports Medicine, was awarded the Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator of the Year Award by Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Ritter was nominated by Sheri Choe, a Level II fieldwork student from Creighton. Ritter, who works at the EntireCare location in Sedona, spent three months with Choe teaching her the art and science of working with people during occupational therapy intervention. Read more
