Dear ASHT member,

Thank you so much for your membership in the American Society of Hand Therapy. Without loyal members like you, we would not have had such a successful 2017. With your support, we were able to successfully block legislation that would have restricted our ability to fabricate custom orthoses for Medicare beneficiaries. We also used member dollars to implement the Legislative Action Center, which allows you to easily contact your representatives regarding issues impacting hand therapists. Another exciting endeavor this year was the release of hand therapy awareness videos created by our Technology and Communications Committee, which were shared during Hand Therapy Week.   

Our volunteer leaders are hard at work for the coming you to provide you with further resources to help your practice. We will have additional educational offerings – including a fourth Hand Therapy Review Course, and our Education on Tour traveling course – and will expand our mentoring program to impact the next generation of hand therapists.  We are exploring opportunities to continue to keep abreast of the ever-changing legislative landscape to determine the best way to allocate our resources.

Please renew your ASHT membership today! Your membership value exceeds the cost of your membership dues. For example, you can earn 12 free continuing education hours from attending our monthly Journal Club chats; the cost of obtaining that credit alone would essentially pay for your membership. You will continue to have access to the Journal of Hand Therapy and the other valuable resources ASHT offers to members.
