ASHT is excited to host four Hand Therapy Review Courses in 2018.
Tired of the cold and hoping to see some sun this winter? Irvine, California is hosting a course in February! Midwesterner? St. Louis is a great place to travel in April! Enjoy southern cuisine? Atlanta is hosting a course in June! Finally, for those on the East coast, Baltimore has you covered in October!
The Hand Therapy Review Course is a comprehensive review of the evaluation and treatment of conditions of the upper quarter. It is appropriate for therapists at all levels. If you are new to hand therapy but not quite ready to sit for the CHT Exam, this course can provide evidence-informed resources to use as you start your practice and offers an opportunity for questions and case discussions with therapists recognized in the field. It is a perfect outline and study guide for therapists ready to sit for the exam and can help identify areas needing further study. For experienced therapists, it is a fantastic refresher and there is always an opportunity to learn new tips and tricks (and remember the ones we may have forgotten after we took the CHT Exam!).
The course is three days. Day one is a review of anatomy and kinesiology, and days two and three cover a survey of topics ranging from upper extremity evaluation to tendon transfers. There is an option to attend all three days or the two days of lectures. That is a great opportunity to earn up to 24 hours of continuing education hours in one weekend!
