The International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy is pleased to announce the new Cristina Alegri Award for Innovation in Hand Therapy.
This award was created in honor of the late Cristina Alegri, an occupational therapist from Buenos Aires credited for her innovations and contributions to the practice of hand therapy, especially her innovative approach to management of scars with snail slime.
The award will be given to an occupational or physical therapist who has made an innovative contribution to the practice of hand therapy. It will be awarded for the first time at the 10th IFSHT Triennial Congress in Buenos Aires in October 2016.
For more information, or to nominate a therapist for this award, please visit the IFSHT website. Check out our Q2 edition of the ASHT Times, available June 2015, for a special feature on the Cristina Alegri Award for Innovation in Hand Therapy.
