PPS Impact Requirements 2025 New! Impact Magazine Web Section on PPS Website The scope includes development of new Impact Magazine pages within the PPS website as outlined below: * Incorporate Impact magazine and articles within existing site * Slightly different layout and treatment for Impact vs regular website. Anticipate keeping main PPS navigation, although there may be some flexibility * Ability to present an approach based on a timed issue release (e.g., March 2025). Visitors could have the ability to select/toggle to entire previous issue (same layout but with that month's articles) * Different option: The online publication’s approach is based on continuous publishing of articles when available, as opposed to releasing all articles published on a specific “issue” release date * Impact Magazine custom-layout homepage with multiple articles from different sections (Features, Membership Matters, On the Move, Quick Fix, Marketing, Compliance) * Impact magazine sections have different layouts; assume 4 - 6 (Features, Membership Matters, On the Move, Quick Fix, Marketing, Compliance). Section layouts remain the same from one article to the next * Design/layout of the homepage and section layouts would be included * The most current featured article will (by default) be the one that is featured on the homepage * Ability to manually set the order of appearance of articles in a section (e.g., Featured articles). The default will be to order them based on the published date (which could be adjusted manually, if desired) * All sections include listing of all articles for that section from previous issues (arranged chronologically) * Search would be dedicated for the Impact magazine; to include all articles in all sections (title, date, author, summary, full article), but may be limited in terms of ability to refine search keywords by issue, etc. * Search is limited to keyword search field (no additional criteria) * EXCLUDED: Ability to filter search by section or other criteria - most likely a Phase 2 feature * Ability for staff to add keywords to articles as a way to augment search indexing and enhance search results * An archive (PDFs) of previous issues. This presumes something similar to NADCA’s DucTales archive and is separate from the content in the new format. PPS staff could add a title and a few bullet points. This content would be indexed in the search, not the PDF. * EXCLUDED: Search within PDFs for archives would need to be separate (excluded) - Phase 2 * Advertising placements within the magazine pages; some limits for layout placement would exist (using Revive), but exact placement, size and quantity of ads can be determined later. * EXCLUDED: Incorporate taxonomy for all major sections (phase II - for things like "related articles") Potential Enhancements (requiring additional budget) * Enhanced search capabilities (per above) * Companion native mobile app * Ability for users/members to select content “preferences” and be notified (via email or in-app notifications) of new content based on their preferences * Additional filtering and customization via taxonomy, such as “you might also like” recommendations, etc. * More customized design and/or layout options for section types. * Additional custom sections or features, as determined
